1802 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-101, T-1, the only known dies. Rarity-2. VF-35 (PCGS).
Attractive mid grade quality with dominant pewter-gray patina that gives way to pale gold and blue undertones as the surfaces dip into a light. Well defined overall with a pleasingly smooth appearance in hand. This single die marriage issue is scarce when viewed in the wider context of the Draped Bust half dollar series, examples eagerly sought at all levels of preservation. Tompkins Die Stage 1/1.
