1924-S Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-65 FH (NGC).
A minimally patinated, virtually brilliant Gem with full satin luster to smooth-looking surfaces. The 1924-S is one of several strike rarities among early San Francisco Mint Standing Liberty quarters. The typical survivor is well worn, and among Mint State coins inadequate detail to Liberty's head and other focal features such as the shield, right leg and eagle's breast is the norm. Not only is the present example solidly graded in the FH category, but it is expertly preserved and visually appealing. Certainly worthy of the strongest bids.
PCGS# 5751. NGC ID: 243N.
NGC Census: 34; 10 finer in this category (MS-67 FH finest).
