1807 Draped Bust Quarter. B-1. Rarity-2. AU-55 (NGC).
From the final year of the brief and challenging Draped Bust quarter series comes this boldly and handsomely toned Choice AU. Conditionally scarce for the type, both sides retain appreciable luster beneath rich steel-blue, lavender-gray and reddish-gold toning. The strike is a bit soft in isolated areas, typical of the issue, although there is little actual wear, and no significant marks. An impressive provenance further enhances the appeal of this desirable type candidate.
