1810 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-104a. Rarity-3. AU-58+ (PCGS).
Satiny, nearly complete mint luster is enhanced by iridescent peripheral toning in champagne-apricot, antique gold and sea-green. This is a boldly defined and inviting piece with a PCGS-certified grade that advanced collectors will find irresistible. Regardless of date or die pairing, early date Capped Bust half dollars are far rarer with this kind of quality than their late date counterparts from the 1820s and, especially, 1830s.
