1895 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-25 (NGC).
The strong demand enjoyed by Morgan dollars in today's numismatic market guarantees that multiple offerings for the Proof-only 1895 in major auctions are much welcome. This NGC-certified specimen is mostly silver-gray in appearance, but with unmistakable peripheral toning in reddish-apricot evident. There are a few light marks scattered about, not unusual for a moderately circulated silver dollar. Of more concern is a curiously glossy texture to both sides that we mention for accuracy. Bold mid-grade detail throughout, considerable sharpness remains in the more protected areas enhancing the appeal of this key date Morgan dollar.
