1908 Indian Quarter Eagle. MS-66+ (PCGS).
Breathtakingly beautiful surfaces are awash in a blend of frosty mint luster and soft golden-apricot color. Silky smooth in appearance, both sides are exceptionally well preserved for both the type and issue. Saved in significant numbers by the contemporary public as the first quarter eagle to display Bela Lyon Pratt's novel incuse design, the 1908 now ranks among the more readily obtainable Indian quarter eagles in all Mint State grades. Even so, high end Gems such as this are very scarce in an absolute sense and rare relative to the demand that they enjoy among today's quality conscious gold enthusiasts. Few coins have been graded higher by PCGS.
