Marienburg-6626. Obverse: Bust of Friedrich III facing right, perimeter legend, FRIEDRICH DEUTSCHER KÖNIG V. PREUSSEN. Small quatrefoil below bust; Reverse: Perimeter legend, SEINEN FRITZ WIRD DEUTSCHLAND NIE VERGESSEN. Five-line legend in field, LERNE LEIDEN OHNE ZU KLAGEN +15 JUNI 1888. After a 17-year wait as Crown Prince, Friedrich III was Kaiser for only 99 days before passing away from cancer of the larynx.
