HGC-4, 38; BCD Thessaly II-27. Obverse: Laureate head of Zeus left; Reverse: The hero Phemios standing right, holding petasos and drapery, preparing to hurl javelin. Darkly toned and somewhat rough, but with an attractive obverse strike and much originality. A well-pedigreed example of this SCARCE type.
