Group of Four Egyptian Glazed Steatite Scarabs. ca. 1650-924 B.C. Average Grade: VERY FINE.
Comprising a large brown glazed scarab with hieroglyphs in a rope border; a green glazed scarab bearing two cartouches for Shoshenq I; a tan glazed scarab with hieroglyphs, including a solar disk, a nefer sign, and a scarab beetle; and a pale green glazed scarab featuring a ram's head between a solar disk and a shallow basket. The large brown glazed scarab with a rope border Second Intermediate Period, circa 1650-1550 BC; the tan and pale green glazed scarabs New Kingdom, circa 1550-1069 BC; and the green glazed scarab for Shoshenq I Third Intermediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, reign of Shoshenq I, circa 945-924 BC.
