MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Philip III, 323-317 B.C. AR Drachm, Kolophon Mint, ca. 323-319 B.C. NGC EF.
Pr-1770. In the name and types of Alexander III. Struck under Menander or Kleitos. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; lyre in left field, B below throne. A charming Drachm with dark toning. Though struck slightly off-center, this piece presents particularly fine reverse details.
