GERMANY. Medallic Issues. Augsburg. Gold Medal of 3/4 Ducat Weight, 1690. NGC AU-55.
Diameter: 19mm; Weight: 2.55 gms. Commemorating the coronation of Joseph as King of the Romans. Obverse: Upright sword entwined with laurel branch; radiant Eye of Providence above; Reverse: Crown and palm fronds; below, legend and date in seven lines. A VERY RARE coronation commemorative, especially in this module, the present specimen is just short of Mint State status on account of some very gentle handling, though enchanting brilliance remains.
