Dav-LS188; KM-222.5; Welter-1496. One of the most popular of all German States multiple Talers, the present beautiful example delivers a bold and expressive strike and rich details throughout, with a steely brilliance emanating from the surfaces. The details are still rather sharp, and wear is limited to only the highest of elements of the design. The noted mount removal, while present, is hard to see in the PCGS encapsulation.
