Irregular octagonal uniface flan with arms of Wurttemberg in center flanked by IC - Z. , C.A.H.Z.W. around, date 17-13 below; CA monogram stamped four times in corners; Legend: PRO/CAES:&IMP: above, REL:LANDAU./1.FL:4x. below. This very attractive and nicely preserved example exhibits lovely old cabinet patina displaying rich slate in the crevasses with an iridescent sheen. The surfaces offer a variable light gray to dove gray complementing the rich coloration in the protected areas. Clearly given great care early on, the charming siege issues is wholly original looking with good eye appeal.
