SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Brabant. 2 Souverains d'Or, 1644. Brussels Mint; mm: head. Philip IV of Spain. NGC Unc Details--Obverse Scratched.
Fr-106; KM-74.2; Delm-177. Weight: 11.09 gms. despite the few minor marks on the obverse, this enchanting double-sized gold issue presents essentially no evidence of handling and retains a great deal of shimmering brilliance. A SCARCE and exceptional remnant from the period of Spanish Habsburg rule in a portion of what is now the lowlands of the Netherlands and Belgium.
