Description

GREAT BRITAIN. Ryal, ND (1464-70). London Mint; mm: crown. Edward IV. PCGS AU-55.
S-1950; Fr-132; N-1549. Light Coinage. Weight: 7.97 gms. Obverse: Crowned and armored figure of Edward standing facing in ship with rose on hull, sword in right hand, shield in left; Reverse: Rose in radiant sun over floriate cross, crowns and lions in angles, all within polylobe with large trefoils in spandrels. A pleasing and limitedly handling specimen, this radiant and nicely struck example delivers a soft golden color and limited signs of handling on the surfaces. A few buildups are seen in the surfaces, though these do little to dampen the beauty of the piece.

Estimate: $3000.00- $4000.00
