Plain Edge. An exceedingly elusive Gem pattern, this enchanting Newfoundland specimen delivers a rich strike and wholesome details throughout. Swatches of colorful toning fleet and flick across the surfaces, only deepening the appeal of the present example by adding a depth of character to the surfaces. The planchet gently reflects light in a mirrored display, and with nary a stray hit of contact seen on the flan. A tremendous example deserving of nothing short of the most excited of bids from any specialist in the Canadian series, as this piece represents the pinnacle of RARITY for the coinage of Newfoundland and Canada more generally.
