RUSSIA. Ruble, 1704 (date in old Cyrillic). Moscow (Red) Mint. Peter I (the Great). NGC EF Details--Cleaned.
Dav-1645; KM-122.2; Bit-796. Displaying a distinctive ornate decoration upon the orb and a clear engraver's mistake, with an "A" engraved over a mistaken "Д" in "ДОБРАѦ," this RARE example from early in the reign of Peter "the Great" does display some evidence of cleaning. Nevertheless, it retains great overall detail, with what appears to be an Austrian Taler serving as the undertype as well, the complex coat-of-arms noticeable upon the reverse.
