Obverse: Saint driving plow drawn by the Devil left, miner emerging from the ground on a ladder, holding oil lamp, tree and machine surround; all within beaded square; Reverse: Coat of arms bounded by laurel branches, arms topped by St. Wenceslas holding banner and raising hand; army on horseback behind. A wholesome Choice specimen, delivering radiating luster and sharp details, the present specimen avoids ugly handling or marking on the surfaces. A wonderful example, and one deserved of a plethora of bids from specialists in the series.
