BOLIVIA. Cob 8 Reales, 1619-P T. Potosi Mint. Philip III. PCGS VF-35.
KM-10; Cal-927. Weight: 26.98 gms. Struck on a fairly round flan, somewhat atypical for these cob types oft-encountered quite crude, this specimen retains solid overall detail, with some greater weathering to the obverse-- likely emanating from its centuries spent submerged upon the ocean's floor. A great representative from this ever-popular shipwreck.
Ex: Atocha shipwreck, sunk on 6 September 1622 off the coast of what is now the Florida Keys, certificate # PGC-0122-004
