MAGNENTIUS, A.D. 350-353. AV Solidus (4.39 gms), Treveri Mint, A.D. 350. NGC AU, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 2/5. Smoothing.
RIC-247; Dep-8/1. Obverse: Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right; Reverse: Victory, holding palm frond, standing right, and Libertas, holding transverse scepter, standing left, and both supporting trophy on shaft between them; TR. Fairly flashy and dazzling, this vibrant, lightly handled example does display some minor smoothing, but nevertheless emanates from a tough-to-acquire series and with great eye appeal in so doing.
