VITELLIUS, A.D. 69. Fourree Denarius (3.28 gms), Uncertain Mint in Spain, possibly Tarraco. NGC Ch VF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 2/5.
cf. RSC-37 (for prototype); cf. RSC-100 (same). Obverse: Laureate head right, with palm frond and globe at point of neck; Reverse: Victory flying left, holding round shield in both hands. A very faithful mimicking of an official issue, this plated ancient forgery offers a charming tone and great overall detail remaining on each side, though the reverse is slightly off-center.
