NERO, A.D. 54-68. AE Sestertius (27.21 gms), Lugdunum Mint, ca. A.D. 66. NGC AU, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Fine Style. Light Smoothing.
RIC-517. Obverse: Laureate head left, with globus at point of neck; Reverse: Roma seated left on cuirass, holding victoriola and parazonium; round shield behind to right. Despite the noted light smoothing, this broad flan offers a charming portrait of fine style along with pleasing dark brown surfaces and much intricate detail remaining.
