HGC-10, 357; RPC-1, 4666. Obverse: Laureate bust of Melkart right, with drapery tied around neck; Reverse: Eagle standing left on prow; palm frond behind; to left, ΡΞΒ (date) above downward club; Phoenician letter between legs; to right, KP above monogram. Emanating from just a few years after the death of Christ, this popular type in a charming state of preservation presents a clear date and offers a wholesome overall nature.
