MYSIA. Kyzikos. EL Stater (16.17 gms), ca. 550-450 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5.
Nomisma-VII, 75; Boston MFA-1448; SNG BN-205. Obverse: Half length bust of winged female figure (Harpy?) left, holding tunny; Reverse: Quadripartite incuse square. Struck on a somewhat oblong flan, this elegant example presents pleasing detail with an olive-yellow hue. An edge crack is noted, though fairly typical for this tactile type.
