PONTOS. Kingdom of Pontos. Mithradates VI, 120-63 B.C. AV Stater (8.38 gms), Tomis Mint, ca. 88-86 B.C. NGC EF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 4/5.
HGC-3.2, 1799; SNG Cop-1094 (Thrace). In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon; Reverse: Athena seated left on throne, holding crowning Nike; ΘΕΜ to inner left, TO on throne; in exergue, ornate trident left. Fairly well centered on the obverse, with a light tone and only mild wear.
