A lovely specimen awarded for the rescue of Hyman Burlant "from a Runaway," New York, June 10, 1922, per the central tablet on the reverse. Marked on the edge BRONZE, by J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, with a patent date of December 11, 1906. A popular life-saving type.
