Description

Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. $10 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 480. The First NB. Charter #3030. PMG Very Fine 25.

An incredibly rare and underrated $10 Brown Back from this rare Punxsutawney bank. This is just the third note to come forward from this rare Jefferson County bank. The First National was the lone issuing bank in Punxsutawney. They issued large size notes only in the form of 1882 Brown Backs and then Series of 1902 Red Seals and Date Backs from August of 1883 to August of 1909.

Estimate: $1500.00-$2500.00
