1903 Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-67 (PCGS).
Otherwise silver-tinged surfaces exhibit iridescent reddish-gold and olive peripheral highlights that are most extensive along the left reverse border. Prior to the dispersal of many original 1,000-coin bags in 1955, the 1903 was an elusive Morgan dollar in Mint State. Today it is quite available, at least in lower grades through MS-66. It is scarce at the MS-67 level and undeniably rare any finer. Among the finer certified, in fact, this PCGS Superb Gem will be perfect for a high quality type or date set.
