1888-S Liberty Head Eagle. MS-62 (PCGS). CAC.
Gorgeous pinkish-apricot surfaces are sharply struck with a fully frosted finish. A relatively common issue by 1880s Liberty Head eagle standards, the 1888-S is obtainable with ease in grades through MS-62 thanks to the discovery of many examples in foreign bank hoards. Few Choice Uncirculated pieces have come to light, however, confirming the significance of this upper end BU example for the astute gold enthusiast.
