“1832” (Circa 1858) Philadelphia Civic Procession Medal restrike. Musante GW-130-R2, Baker-160E. Copper, Bronzed. MS-64 BN (PCGS).
32.3 mm. 282.6 grains. Rich mahogany brown with almost no handling marks. Quite pretty and sharply struck from a very early state of the dies in the era of these restrikes. The rim is unbroken left of WASHINGTON and the crack from the rim to the IVER of ANNIVERSARY is but a faint hairline break. A very pleasing example from a rather scarce die state. Struck in coin-turn orientation.
From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Purchased on eBay, March 2002.
