1847-D Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. Winter 9-N, the only known dies. VF Details--Scratch (PCGS).
A curving scratch in front of Liberty's portrait speaks to the stated qualifier, though the complexion remains attractive in hand and without brightness or other distractions. Deep gold in hue with deeper brown shades in select areas. Overall bold and well produced, this piece is a satisfying representative of this prized minting facility. One of just 15,784 pieces struck.
