1795 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-52, B-15. Rarity-2. Centered Bust. EF-40 (PCGS).
Attractive reddish-russet and gray patina covers the outer regions of this pleasingly toned, centered portrait Draped Bust dollar. Somewhere around 200,000 1795 silver dollars were struck, most with the Flowing Hair design, but only about 20 percent of the mintage were those of the Draped Bust type. This example shows high point wear from circulation, yet the fields and motifs remain sharply defined on both sides. Some faint post-striking marks are noted at and near the center of the obverse.
PCGS# 6858. NGC ID: 24X2.
