Description
1847-D Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. Winter 9-N, the only known dies. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC.
Undeniably original surfaces are dressed in warm, even khaki-gold with a tinge of medium orange intermingled throughout. Both sides are impressively smooth for an 1840s Southern gold coin that saw appreciable commercial use. A bold and exceptionally appealing Choice EF with much to recommend it to discerning numismatists.

CAC Population: 35 in all grades.
