Fr. 1336. 50 Cents. Third Issue. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ.
Green back Justice. “A-2-6-5" surcharges. Fr. 1336 is the most desirable of the "1" and "a" Spinner notes. This is by virtue of the fact that it is found on the much scarcer green back subtype with surcharges. A trio of hulking margins and outrageous depth of printing lend to the visual impact of this piece. The “Wealth of the South" collection that we sold in 2019 had a PMG Very Fine 35 that realized $720. This note is significantly better than that one and so is the market in which it is being sold.
