Description

1835 Capped Bust Dime. JR-1. Rarity-1. MS-64 (NGC).
With the final S in STATES centered over the S in PLURIBUS on the reverse, the 1835 JR-1 dime is an easy variety to attribute. The present near-Gem is richly toned in a blend of bold sea-green, purple and russet patina. Softly frosted in texture, with a sharp strike and no outwardly distracting abrasions. A strong candidate for inclusion in a high grade type set.
