1927-S Buffalo Nickel. MS-64 (NGC).
The dove gray complexion comes alive with rose-gold and khaki vibrancy at a tilt. An unusually well struck example, most '27-S nickels are soft to poorly defined as a rule -- this one is certainly an exception and probably a first strike example. Uniformly silken and untroubled, this attractive near-Gem is an attainable entry into this conditionally exclusive issue.
