1920-S Buffalo Nickel. MS-64 (PCGS).
Iridescent champagne-gold toning greets the viewer from smooth, satin to modestly semi-reflective surfaces. The obverse is better struck than the reverse, the latter from a worn die, but even so we note emerging to bold definition to the bison's head and shoulder. While not as scarce as the 1920-D, the 1920-S still numbers among the more conditionally challenging issues of its type. With most survivors poorly struck, as well, this above average near-Gem is sure to catch the eye of discerning specialists.
