Fr. 747*. 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Bank Star Note. Boston. PCGS Banknote Choice Very Fine 35.
All replacements for this widely popular Two Dollar "Battleship" design are scarce and when individualized by district, they become downright rare. Just five are recorded in Track and Price's census for this catalog number, and the first to be offered in three years. We sold a PMG Very Fine 20 in our August 2019 ANA sale for $3,600, and we should expect this example to realize a higher figure. This is the only example to have been encapsulated by PCGS Banknote at the time of cataloging.
