1899 Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. JD-1, the only known dies. Rarity-4. Proof-60 (PCGS).
A second Proof 1899 $2.50, this handsome piece combines olive undertones with warm orange-gold color. Fully struck, as befits the method of manufacture, with appreciable reflective qualities evident in the fields as the surfaces dip into a light.
