CANADA. Canada - Great Britain. Tribute to Victoria's Jubilee White Metal Medal, 1887. NGC MS-63.
Leroux-1870. By P. W. Ellis. Diameter: 45mm. Obverse: Crown surrounded by maple leaves; flowers and banner below; in the middle, two garnished medallions with diademed heads of Victoria ( youthful at the time of her accession, and veiled and older at the time of her jubilee ) facing one another; Reverse: Beaver left on large maple leaf; banners above and below; floral wreath at the top. A fairly SCARCE and interesting entrant into the massive jubilee series of medals, with this piece offering distinctively Canadian features. Pewter gray in color, with none of the typical issues that plague this metal.
