JAPAN. 20 Yen, Year 3 (1870). Osaka Mint. Mutsuhito (Meiji). PCGS MS-64.
Fr-45; KM-Y-13; JNDA-01-1; JC-09-1. Mintage: 46,139. The first date of the 20 Yen series, and the only such date that is-- for the most part --obtainable, this alluring near-Gem radiates with immense lustrous brilliance and a soft yellow-olive hue to the gold. Dazzling and incredibly enchanting, with just a few very light carbon spots on the reverse mentioned solely for completeness. Just five have been graded finer in the PCGS census.
