Description

ANNAM. Lang, ND (1841-47). Thieu Tri. PCGS Genuine--Holed, AU Details.

KM-295; Sch-241. Weight: 35.25 gms. This seldom encountered large size silver issue exhibits a strong bold strike with crisp well-formed design features. The surfaces retain much originality and display lovely light gray tone with richer coloration amongst the devices. As is commonly encountered on Annamese coinage two small holes accounts for the details designation, but are hardly a distraction on this piece. Despite its shortcomings a handsome and presentable example of the type that is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: USD 1500-2000
