Of the five Chartered National Banks in Hawaii, only the First National Bank of Hawaii, Honolulu (and under its later Bishop First National Bank of Honolulu moniker) issued a significant amount of notes. Many of these survive today particularly in Small Size (though for some reason no Small Size $20s appear to have been issued). This VF-20 Type 1 $100 shows a few tiny rust spots at the upper right corner but is otherwise a pleasing moderately-circulated example. PMG comments "Minor Rust."
