At center, under the bank title, Justice and Liberty with Rhode Island shield between them. At lower left motif large X with sailor. A clipper ship at lower right. The $10 note was at the top of a sheet with $10-$50-$100-$500 layout. The bank was incorporated in 1853 and remained a state bank until going into receivership as a result of the failure of one of the largest textile manufacturers in the area. A very scarce Rhode Island Obsolete.
