Woonsocket, Rhode Island. $5 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 467. The First NB. Charter #1402. PMG Fine 12.

One of the scarcer Woonsocket banks, the First National Bank of Woonsocket was liquidated in February 1902 with only $5,922 outstanding in 1910. This 1882 Brown Back $5 is one of only two on the Census, and while fairly well worn, retains legible signatures and acceptable eye-appeal for the grade. It recently brought a bid of $2,160 in a January 2018 sale.
