Yonkers, New York. Original $2 Fr. 387a. The First NB. Charter #653. PMG Very Good 8.

One of only two known, this Original Series "Lazy Deuce" from the First National Bank of Yonkers has certainly been in a few pockets and cash registers, but retains all key design elements. Though faded, the signatures, seal, serial numbers and lettering remain clear. This much-demanded type on a highly collectible bank should still bring a healthy four-figure bid, despite its fairly low condition. It last realized $4,600 in a January 2006 auction. PMG comments "Minor Repairs."
