Description
1838 Classic Head Half Eagle. HM-1. Rarity-3. MS-61 (PCGS).
The frosty, bright yellow-gold surfaces exhibit soft reflectivity in the fields and a light dusting of frost on the motifs. The strike is sharp, marks are minimal, and the luster is unimpeded on the high points. Struck in the final year of this short-lived design type. Choice for the grade.
