Napier - McClung signature combination. Exceptionally printed inks accentuate the design of this ever-popular Legal Tender design type. The Pioneer Family vignette, engraved by Henry Gugler, is found at center. This type is commonly known by the "Woodchopper" nickname for the scene of a pioneer man holding an ax standing by a fallen tree with his family. "Old Hickory" Andrew Jackson is seen at left as engraved by Alfred Sealey.
