Lot of (2). Jeffersonville, Virginia. Trans-Alleghany Bank of Virginia. 18xx. $50 & $100. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58 EPQ & Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. Proprietary Proofs.

(VA-110 G8-G10) Plate A. Imprints of Danforth, Wright & Co. New York and Philada. 18__ Proprietary Proofs printed by ABNCo using the original plates. Both feature a portrait of Governor John B. Floyd. Also seen is the stock state treasurer die used prior to 1860. The bank was organized in 1853 but only lasted in business for a few years. As far as proprietary proofs go these are actually really scarce.
