Description

CC-19. Continental Currency. February 17, 1776. $1/6. PMG About Uncirculated 50 Net. Rust, Faded Ink.

No. Unknown. Plate A. Printed by Hall and Sellers. Face and back motifs created by Ben Franklin. The face shows the sundial at right with motto MIND YOUR BUSINESS. The back displays thirteen interlocking chains with the names of each colony within, a representation of their unity. PMG has cited Rust, Faded Ink. The note faces up with unusually wide margins and bold printing quality. This $1/6 note is the lowest of the four fractional denominations from this series, as well as being the scarcest. We recently sold a problemed PMG About Unc 53 that sold for $1,200.

Estimate: $1000.00 - $1500.00
